Connie D McClure (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Connie D. McClure, daughter of Avery Ernest and Lorene Blanche Clutter Foster was born November 8, 1944, in Independence, MO. She departed this life August 11, 2015 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy years, nine months and three days.
On July 8, 2005 she was united in marriage to Jennings Louk and together they have shared the last ten years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, William Wayne McClure.
She is survived by her husband, Jennings Louk, of Lebanon, Missouri; one daughter, Suzanne McClure, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Avery Matthew McClure of Kansas City, Missouri, and Russell Wayne McClure and his wife Lisa, of Dallas, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Susanna Smith and her husband Gary of Neosho, Missouri, and Ruth Foster of Flagstaff, Arizona; also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie lived her early years in North Kansas City. She was a graduate of North Kansas City High School, and attended William Jewell College, in Liberty, Missouri, where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree. She also studied Spanish at the University of the America’s, in Mexico City, Mexico. She served her country faithfully as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. After Connie was discharged from the Army, she taught English, Spanish, and French, at various locations in the State of Missouri, but especially enjoyed her time at Conway High School, and Ozark Technical College.
She dedicated her life to the Lord, and was a member of Harvest Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Connie’s love for her Lord and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her for many years to come.
Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. Connie was a bright light on a dark day, and we celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them during her 70 years.
