Connie L Pollock (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Connie Lorraine Pollock, daughter of John Merle and Thelma Baker Castleman, was born January 18, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Providence Medical Center, in Kansas City, Kansas, at the age of sixty-eight years, and eighteen days.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Danny Pollock.
Connie is survived by three sons, Darrell Pollock, and his wife, Suzie, of Lebanon, Missouri, Rusty Pollock, and his wife, Jovana, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Chris Pollock, and his wife, Diana, of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Danielle, Seth, Marya, Tyler, Jordan, and Christian; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Laira, Matthew, and Lauren; her mother, Thelma Dora Smith, and her husband, Fred, of Bowling Green, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Kansas City area, and received her education there. She later earned her Associates Degree in Art from Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas. Throughout the years, Connie was a devoted homemaker to her family, and also worked in the office of Associated Grocer’s for a time. She also worked in the hospitality industry for several years.
She was very artistic and enjoyed painting and writing. She also liked to travel. She was a very social person who enjoyed being around people and entertaining. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to read scripture and pray often.
Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and daughter, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
