On June 7, 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to William Arlie “Bill” Scott, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, on January 13, 1992; a son, Jeffery Scott; two brothers, Ted Young and John Young; and two sisters, Hester Smith, and Opal Boyle.
Connie is survived by a daughter, Judy Scott Sanders, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Shayla Evans, and her husband, Josh, Ted Sanders, and his wife, Amber, Carrie Wecker, and her husband, Steve, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Eli, of Joplin, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Summer, Scott, Olivia, and Zoey; a sister, Betty Jacobs, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Bennett Spring area and then moved with her family into Lebanon when she was fifteen. After she and Bill were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their children. Connie was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and worked hard caring for her children.
Connie followed the Pentecostal faith throughout her life.
She was an excellent cook and liked making special recipes for her family. She enjoyed sending greeting cards for any and all occasions and never missed a birthday or special day. She greatly liked taking photographs and had her walls covered in photos that she had taken. She also loved to sing. Her family was most important to her and she centered her life around her daughter, son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie was a loving mom, grandma, granny, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-two years.
