Connie Urich (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Connie Urich, 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2012, at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. Connie was an encouraging, supporting, gracious, faithful and delightful woman. She was a devoted wife and mother, a skilled nurse, a faithful church leader, and a dedicated community volunteer.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Pastor Gary Urich, and her three children, Andrea and her husband Ryan, Alicia and her husband Chris and Philip and his wife Kristie. She was Nana to six grandchildren, Clay (14), Broc (11), Hope (7), Zachary (12), Christian (9) and Adia (3).
In 1967, Connie graduated as a registered nurse from St. Joseph Methodist Hospital Nursing Program. Connie was a passionate advocate for unborn children and for families. In 1978, Connie co-founded a chapter of FLAG (Family, Life, America, God) in Fayetteville, Ark. In 1988, Connie received the Eagle Award from Phyllis Schlafly of the Eagle Forum for her pro-family work.
She served at Alpha House crisis pregnancy center as a mentor, education director and on the board, and she organized fund raisers and banquets. She also served as a member of the Southwest Baptist University Women’s Club in Bolivar, MO.
