Constance Schiffgens (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Connie was born May 8, 1944 to Merrill Rowland Webster and Naomi Delia
Thorne in Olean, New York. She passed away at home in Lebanon, Missouri on
Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was seventy-nine years, ten months and twenty-six
days of age at the time of her passing.
She was raised in Olean, New York and graduated from Olean High School.
She lived in many locations throughout her life including Hartford and New
Haven, Connecticut, Granite City, Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, El Paso, Texas
and Heidelberg and Munich, Germany before settling in Lebanon, Missouri. She
was a very private person and focused on being a devoted mother to her three
children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Audrey; niece Carolyn; ex-
husband Larry R. Schiffgens.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly S. (Rick Thompson)
Schiffgens of Fairfax, Virginia, Kristian S. (Jack) Antoszewski of Sleeper,
Missouri; son Larry R. Schiffgens II of Eldridge, Missouri; three grandchildren
Jacqueline English, JayCee Antoszewski, and Kaden Antoszewski; three great-
grandchildren, Abigail, Colton, and Andrew; brother Donald J. Webster of Parker,
Colorado; six nephews and a niece.
Connie will be remembered for the special attention she gave to each child’s
birthday and every holiday. She particularly loved decorating and baking for
Christmas. Caring for her family was a priority and she volunteered as a Girl Scout
Leader, elementary school room aide, and chaperoned a multitude of events and
trips over the years. She loved animals with a fondness for dogs and had a great
sense of humor both of which were passed to her children.
She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing games, gardening, baking,
crafts, and sports. She loved to watch and root on her favorite teams and was
delighted when the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year.
She loved her family, and she will be missed so very much. We celebrate her
life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will treasure
the wonderful memories they made with her.
The family has planned a private burial.
