Corey Justin Warford (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Corey Justin Warford, son of Steve Earl and Tamara Lynn Childress Warford, was born December 16, 1990, in Modesto, California. He departed this life Sunday, October 23, 2016, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of twenty-five years, ten months, and seven days.
On January 7, 2013, he was united in marriage to Felicia Dawn Willbanks and they shared the last three years.
Corey is survived by his wife, Felicia, of the home; his mother, Tammy Dearing, and her husband, Aaron, of Louisburg, Missouri; his father, Steve Warford, and his wife, Trish, of Seymour, Missouri; a brother, Steve Warford, Jr., of Louisburg, Missouri; two sisters, Kyndall Kornbrust, and her husband, Shawn, of Mendon, Missouri, and Chylene Warford, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; two nieces; his maternal grandparents, Gary and Glenda Childress, of Atwater, California; his paternal grandparents, Jeanette and Floyd Havner, of Modesto, California; his mother-in-law, Delta-Dawn Wilson, of Elkland, Missouri; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Buffalo, Missouri, and graduated from Buffalo High School in the Class of 2009. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps from June 6, 2009, until being honorably discharged on January 24, 2014. He and Felicia made their home in Louisburg, while Corey worked for Bass Pro in Springfield. They then moved to Lebanon, where Corey worked for a Kum and Go Store for a short time before beginning work as a merchandiser for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Rolla, Missouri. He was also attending Drury University where he was studying criminology and psychology.
He was a prolific gamer and also enjoyed collecting firearms, going to shooting ranges and having target practice. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed having time with his brother and sisters and his two nieces.
Corey was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, grandson, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his brief life and know that he will be fondly remembered by all of his family and many friends.
