Corrina Jo Austin (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Corrina Jo Austin (Buntin), of Long Lane, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born on March 8, 1962, in King City, Missouri. She spent her early years in St. Joseph before her family moved to Reeds Spring in 1972. While attending Vacation Bible School at White Wilderness Church in Notch, Missouri, Corrina accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. In 1973, the family moved to Springfield and eventually settled in the Dallas County/Buffalo area in 1976. Corrina graduated from Buffalo High School in 1980 and married the love of her life, Martin Austin, that same year. Corrina was blessed with two children, Joseph (Breanna) and Jeanette (Riley), and six beloved grandchildren: Ethan, Emily, Isaac, Isaiah, Ivan, and Isabella. She was baptized in 1982 and was a devoted member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Long Lane, Missouri. Corrina had a deep love for God’s Word and truly enjoyed her Bible studies, drawing strength, peace, and purpose from Scripture. Her faith was the foundation of her life and shone through in all she did. Known for her humor and heart, Corrina had a special gift for making people laugh. Her family fondly remembers the familiar sound of the smoke detector signaling that dinner was ready—a tradition that brought smiles and stories for years to come. She was also a caring and active member of her community. Corrina was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Shirley Buntin; her sister, Deborah Harris; and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin; her children, Joseph and his wife Breanna, Jeanette and her husband Riley; three brothers; and her treasured grandchildren. Corrina’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith, joy, and selfless love. She will be missed more than words can express. Visitation is scheduled for 1:00 on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:15 on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo.
