Cory was raised in Hartville and graduated from Hartville High School in 2008. He joined the Army National Guard in 2007 while he was 17 and still in school. While he was in the Army, he became part of the Army Military Police and served until 2011. During his service, he went to Haiti in 2010 and Joplin in 2011 to help with the search, rescue, and clean up after those horrible disasters. Cory was fluent in several languages and this helped his career in the military.
When Cory left the military, he joined his father for a time helping out with his carpentry and mechanics. He was very talented with his hands and had his father’s touch in carpentry. Cory enjoyed the outdoors, especially while sitting next to a campfire and sharing stories and conversation with his friends and family. He loved his two daughters with all his heart and was a great father for those two little girls. Cory was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, and dear friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created.
Memorial can be made to the family through Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hartville, MO 65667.
