Craig Von Holten (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Craig Lyle Von Holten, son of Leon Henry and Bonnie Grace Howell Von Holten, was born August 24, 1964, in Sedalia, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, May 3, 2015, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of fifty years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Von Holten.
Craig is survived by his parents, Leon and Bonnie Von Holten, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a brother, Neil Von Holten, and his wife, Sheryl, of Sedalia, Missouri; two nieces, Amy and Mary; an aunt, Nila Holcroft, of Sedalia, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Sedalia, Missouri, and graduated from Smith-Cotton High School. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Navy for four years, and was stationed on the USS Independence for part of that time. He worked for Domino’s Pizza in Lebanon for a short time, and then moved back to Sedalia, where he was employed by Rival Manufacturing Company for a number of years. He later was a driver for De Boer Transportation for several years.
Craig was christened and baptized in Christ Lutheran Church in Sedalia.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing computer games.
At the family’s request Craig’s body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
