Crystal Anna Marie Ellison's Obituary
Crystal Anna Marie Ellison, daughter of William Oliver and Pearl Alice Vanwart Taylor, was born July 27, 1930, in West Plains, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in Marshfield Care Center, in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, nine months, and twenty days. On May 8, 1945 she was united in marriage to Truman Lee Ellison and to this union seven daughters and four sons. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman, on November 24, 2002; a daughter, Goldie Ellison; a great-grandson, Koby Poole; a brother, David Taylor; and two sisters, Rosemary Taylor, and Earldean Cantrell. Crystal is survived by four sons, Virgil Ellison, of Farmington, Missouri, William “Bud” Ellison, of Lebanon, Missouri, Howard Ellison, of Conway, Missouri, and Randy Ellison, of Niangua, Missouri; six daughters, Faye Adams, Bessie Squires, and Clara Ellison, all of Hartville, Missouri, Alice Nicks, of West Plains, Missouri, Vida Young, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Geneva Bowers, of Springfield, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Taylor, of West Plains, Missouri; a sister, Juanita Smith, of West Plains, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Howell County and after she met and married Truman they moved to Webster County and then to Wright County where they lovingly raised their family. Crystal had made her profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In her spare time she greatly enjoyed playing Bingo with the residents at the care center, reading the newspaper, embroidering, and cooking. She also loved fishing and helping milk cows on the farm. Crystal was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville. Burial will be in Amy Union Cemetery Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
