Curtis Eric Pankey (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Curtis Eric Pankey was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 21, 1978 the son of Robert and Winnie Pankey. He died at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on February 26, 2019 with his Mom, Uncle Jerry, Cousins Karen and Lannis, Pastor Rod, Partner Bruce Smith, and loving neighbor (AKA Sister) Shayla Fisher by his side.
Curtis was preceded in death by his Dad Robert, Brother David, Grandma and Grandpa Pankey (Elsie and Carl), Grandma and Grandpa Doty (Thelma and Harold, Uncles Larry Doty, Kenny Doty, Raymond Middleton, Dee Hedgepath, Hollis Atterberry, Aunts Diane Doty, Evelyn Atterberry, Jean Pankey, Cousins Andy Atterberry and Dylan Hedgepath. He is survived by his Mom Winnie Pankey, Aunts Barbara Hedgepath, Irene Brown and Husband Jerry, and Judy Middleton, Uncles Bill Pankey, Lanny Doty and Jerry Doty. His loving dog Kasper.
Curtis was a Master Mason of Fellowship Lodge # 345 and Scottish Rite member in Joplin, Missouri and a member of Buffalo Chapter # 446 Order of the Eastern Star. He grew up in Bolivar, Missouri following his schooling he worked in Springfield at Expedia Traveling Co later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked for a traveling company and became manager of his team. He was saved and baptized at Berean Baptist Church of Bolivar. Curtis loved computers and was his Red Dodge Car. Curtis was a very happy young man with a smile and always would do anything for you especially when it came to computers or cellphones.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 P.M. Friday March 1, 2109 in the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo with Pastor Rod Campbell officiating. Music will be "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "I'm Going Home", "Peace in the Valley" and "Just A Rose Will Do". Pallbearers will be Daryl Keuehne, Jeff Medlin, DJ Pankey, Daniel Hatfield, Travis Doty, and Lance Doty. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Brown, Steven Doty, Dale Doty, Ted Medlin, Todd Middleton, Tony Middleton and Terry Hedgepath. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. Friday March 1, 2019 right before the services. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital St. Louis and to give.marfan.org
