Cynthia Jean Gaston (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Cynthia Jean Gaston was born July 28, 1954 to Len Dale Evans and Bobbie Rogers Evans in Lebanon, Missouri. She passed away in her home in Lebanon, Missouri on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 after a valiant battle with cancer. At the time of her passing she was sixty-nine years, seven months and nine days of age.
Cindy grew up in Camdenton and graduated from Camdenton High School. She continued her education at State Fair Community College where she proudly earned a 4.0 GPA.
On November 14, 1987, Cindy was united in marriage to her true love and best friend, William Gaston. Together they made many wonderful memories and stayed the course through the trials of life.
Cindy opened Gaston Machine Quilting where she was able to excel and help others with her passion of quilting. She loved everything about quilting, from the colors to the patterns. Cindy enjoyed making many different quilts. Cindy made many friends through her quilt shop.
She also loved going to garage sales on the weekends and seeing what treasures she could find.
From 1992 – 1995, Cindy served on the Camdenton R-3 School Board. She was also a member of the Mt. Horeb Church. She was steadfast in her convictions and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-six years, William; her daughter, Billie Jane (B.J.) Scoby and her husband, Stephen of Conway, Missouri; two sons, Nichlaus Gaston and his wife Diana and Howard Gaston, all of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Robbie, Anna, Jenna, Evan, Holden, Tatum and Kaelynn; her mother, Bobbie Evans of Camdenton, Missouri; three sisters, Dorothy Silvers of Camdenton, Missouri, Teresa Watts and her husband Leonard of Eldridge, Missouri and Lenette Smith and her husband Danny of Macks Creek, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Len Dale Evans; her mother and father-in-law, William and Lenora Gaston; and brothers-in-law, David Silvers and Jim Gaston.
Cindy was stubborn and you always knew where you stood with her. She was a great friend to many and she possessed a fun personality.
She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She adored them so much and treasured every moment she was with them.
Cindy will be remembered for the love she had for her family and her dedication to her loved ones. Her warm presence and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A luncheon will be held Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at Southern heights Christian Church in Lebanon. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial to Mt. Horeb Cemetery has been established and donations maybe left at the funeral home.
