Cynthia Marie Wittig (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Cynthia Marie Wittig (Lynch), born on February 1, 1957, in Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at CMH Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, at the age of 67. Cynthia was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Daniel Wittig; her mother, Jean Nimon Gemmill; her grandparents, Leslie and Iona Gemmill; her uncle, Leslie "Bub" Gemmill Jr.; her brother-in-law, Rod Monson; and her niece, Desaree Patino. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, James Henson, and his wife, Lynnette, of Bolivar, Missouri; her daughter, Laura Wilson, and her husband, Tyler, also of Bolivar, Missouri; as well as her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cynthia is also survived by her brother, Ted Lynch, and his significant other, JoMia Root; her sister, Laura Monson; and her sister, Melissa Gerdin, and her husband, Jeffrey, and many nieces and nephews.
Cynthia's life was filled with simple joys and profound love. She had a passion for baking, often delighting her family with her renowned waffles, a favorite among her grandchildren. Her talents extended to crocheting and reading, and she enjoyed watching television, and gardening and tending to her plants. Above all, Cynthia cherished the time spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 25, 2025, at Polk County Community Center at the Fairgrounds, 4530 S. 100th Road Bolivar, Missouri, at 11AM where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Cynthia's remarkable life. Her legacy of love and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those who knew her. Lunch will be provided.
Cynthia Marie Wittig will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared throughout her life.
