Daisy Hofrichter's Obituary
Daisy Fern Hofrichter, daughter of Jesse William and Lula May Johnson Boston, was born March 25, 1941, in Adonis, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, July 20, 2009, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, three months and twenty-five days. On December 22, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert Pierce “Bob” Hofrichter and to this union three children were born. Together they shared thirty-six years until his passing on July 8, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Shurtleff; and a brother, John Boston. Survivors include her children, Jesse Hofrichter, and Demi Rice and husband Kevin, all of Macks Creek, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jessica Shurtleff, Krysti Rice, Kyla Rice and Kassie Rice; a brother, Jess Boston and wife Gloria of Bolivar, Missouri; a sister, Betty Jenkins of Macks Creek, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Daisy was raised in the Bolivar, Missouri, area and attended school there. She later moved to Independence, Missouri, where she worked for the Cler-Mont School doing various jobs. She went on to work as a dietician for Medical Center of Independence. She and Bob moved to Macks Creek in 1990. Daisy made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Camdenton. She had also been a member of the Branch Homemaker’s Club. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, old television shows, fishing and casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to laugh and always had a desire to take care of others. Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Parrack Grove Cemetery in Macks Creek. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
