Daisy Mary Parkinson, daughter of Robert H. and Maude Moulder Field, was born June 23, 1923, in Custer, Arkansas. She departed this life Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Life Care Center, in Waynesville, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, nine months, and twenty-one days. On July 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to John Beard Parkinson, and together they shared fifty-nine years. To this union four daughters and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, on March 20, 2007; two daughters, Judy and Susan Parkinson; and a son, Jon Bruce Parkinson. Daisy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lane, of Crocker, Missouri, and Sharon Lesser, and her husband, Bob, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Denny Lane, Lisa Lane, Tamara Light, Teresa Tulley-Patton, and Joshua Parkinson; two great-grandchildren, Dralia Tulley-Patton, and Jonathon Lesser-Howser; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Baxter County, Arkansas and graduated from Bakersfield, Missouri High School. After having moved to California, she met and married John, and they made their home in Orange County, California. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, and lovingly raising their children, Daisy also worked at the Libby’s Cannery and as a hostess at the Elks Lodge in California. In 1980, the family moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area, where Daisy and her husband, John, opened and operated The Waterbed Factory, which they ran for many years until they were unable to continue due to ill health. Daisy had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. She liked being outdoors and enjoyed working in her yard. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and especially sharing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
