Dale Anderson's Obituary
Dale Dewey Anderson, son of Dewey M. and Minnie Rosetta Kadel Anderson, was born on November 9, 1926 in Ophiem, Illinois and departed this life on January 21, 2010 in Lebanon, Missouri at eighty-three years of age. He was united in marriage to Nadine Nancy Cudmore and to this union two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad; his son, Terry Laverne Trout; and brother, Mardell Anderson.
Dale is survived by a son, Dale Dean Anderson and his wife, Patti, of Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carol Chapman of Moline, Illinois, Marion Eberts of Sherrard, Illinois, Martha Foster and her husband Gene of Sherrard, Illinois, and Leona Anthony and her husband LeRoy of Rock Island, Illinois. He has also left behind many nieces and nephews.
Dale was born and raised in Illinois. After serving in the Military during WWII, he returned to Illinois honorably discharged. He worked for Case, John Deere and Amitek. Dale also devoted much of his life to his farm in Orion, Illinois where he tended the land and raised livestock with his mother.
He was a member of the Sherrard Presbyterian Church in Sherrard, IL for over 25 years. He had made a profession of faith in Christ during that time. After moving to Macomb, Missouri five years ago, he attended Corinth Baptist Church.
Dale was also a lifetime member of the Viola Masonic Lodge in Viola, Illinois, and the Legion of the Moose Lodge and also a lifetime member of the Norwood Masonic Lodge in Norwood, Missouri.
In his spare time, Dale enjoyed taking care of the farm and going to auctions. Since he moved to Missouri, he raised donkeys and dreamed of raising cattle. He renovated his home and planned on spending his remaining years in Missouri. Dale took pride in how much Missourians are always willing to lend a hand and care for each other. He also found a lot of comfort in his dog, Chi Chi.
Dale will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, as well as a good neighbor and friend. We are grateful for God bringing him into our lives.
