Dale Thomas Medlock (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Dale Thomas Medlock, (73) of Humansville, MO went home to be with Jesus on January 25, 2023. Dale was born on April 5, 1949, in Charleston, MO. He married his wife, Connie Ruth Medlock, on March 1, 1968, in Brownsville, Tennessee. It is hard to put Dale’s legacy into words as he was such a great, one-of-a-kind man. He was a father to everyone he met. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and run into a burning building to save you. He had a childlike heart, big beautiful smile, and he loved to make you laugh. His children and grandchildren were his whole world; all children loved him. He was a great outdoorsman and a modern-day cowboy. He loved shooting and collecting guns. He loved being in nature watching the animals. He loved animals and they loved him. He loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and working on cars. He was a fixer. There was nothing he could not fix. He was a carpenter, mechanic, painter, welder, farmer, electrician, plumber, and anything else you can think of. He also was a great counselor. You could run to him with any issue and he would sit and counsel you with wisdom and love. He would take anyone who needed help into his home and rehabilitate them. He was also known for his beautiful voice. He gave Elvis a run for his money. He loved to sing and play guitar. At every family gathering, he would be in the background with a guitar and a beautiful song. He was also a protector. If you were in his presence, you felt safe. He was the patriarch of his family, and everyone looked up to him. He will be missed dearly. Dale is survived by his wife of 55 years Connie Ruth Medlock, his children Dale Medlock, his spouse Cammie Medlock, Kristi Medlock, Melanie Martinez, her spouse Jason Martinez, Wanda Lewis, her spouse Daren Lewis, his grandchildren Dominic Medlock, Kristin Peach, Christopher Medlock, Payton Medlock, Bayleigh Medlock, Phoenix Lewis, Maxwell Martinez, and Milo Martinez, his brother Dillard Medlock, his sister Wanda Medlock, and lots of extended family who love him very much. He was preceded by and now reunited in heaven with his granddaughter Luna Mae Lewis, his parents Paul and Thelma Medlock, his sisters Tina, Marvline, Joann, and his brother Darril.
