Dale Moses' Obituary
Dale Allen Moses, son of Adolph and Irene Midgett Moses, was born March 30, 1932, in Palmer, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, February 13, 2010, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, ten months, and thirteen days. On January 9, 1965, he was united in marriage to Clarabell Jones, and they shared the last forty-five years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Cale Kremer; a brother, Gilbert Moses; and his father-in-law, Lorence Jones. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Clarabell, of the home; two sons, Ronnie Moses, and his wife, Kathy, of Caledonia, Missouri, and Corey Moses, and his fiancé, Shelley Hart, of Lebanon, Missouri; four daughters, Janice Weiss, of Bismark, Missouri, Lesa Vilmer, and her husband, Tom, of Farmington, Missouri, Jill Kremer, and her husband, David, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Deidra Lookingbill, and her husband, Brad, of Columbia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene Moses, Linnie Moses, and Randy Moses, and his wife, Asylla, all of Potosi, Missouri, and Bruce Moses, and his wife, Betty, of the State of Arizona; five sisters, Juanita Larimore, of Potosi, Missouri, Rose Laird, and her husband, John, Evelyn Mize, Judy Barnett, and her husband, Jim, all of St. Louis, Missouri, and Bernadine Sutton, and her husband, Bob, of the State of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Dolly Moses, of Potosi, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Ruth Jones, of Stoutland, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Cub Creek, Missouri area, near Potosi, and attended Antioch School. As a young man he worked in the saw mills around Potosi for a few years. In 1963, he moved to Lebanon where he began driving a truck for Independent Stave Company. After he and Clarabell were married, they made their home in the Stoutland area and lovingly raised their family. Throughout the years, Dale continued to drive a truck for Appleby Boats, Landau Boats, and then retired from Osagian Boat Company. He also had built several homes in the Stoutland area throughout the years. For the last few years, he and Clarabell had made their home in Lebanon. Dale was raised in a Church of God in the Potosi area. He greatly enjoyed music, played several instruments, and particularly liked country and gospel music. He also enjoyed going to casinos. His family was always the center of his life and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them throughout his lifetime. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday February 13, 2010 at the Stoutland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
