Dale Scroggins (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Dale Scroggins, 77 of Bolivar, Mo. Passed away on April 8, 2024 at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility where he was a resident for the past several years.
Dale was born at his family home in Bolivar to Woodrow and Helen Scroggins. Dale attended and graduated from Pleasant Hope High School. After high school Dale helped manage the family farm located south of Sunset Bridge. He also spent some time working as a crop adjuster for the local Farm Service Agency. Dale was very proud of his family farm which bordered the Pomme De Terre River and was a proud hog and cattle farmer. Dale attended Sunset Church as a young man and enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews, gardening, visiting with other local farmers at Bill’s Feed, and attending local sporting events watching his great nieces and nephews compete.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Helen Scroggins of Bolivar and his sister Beverly Rovenstine of Bolivar. Dale is survived by his niece Zella Simpson and his two nephews Chuck Rovenstine and Ted Rovenstine. He is also survived by his Aunt Neta Jenkins of Bolivar, several cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Services for Dale will be at Butler Funeral Home 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar with visitation the preceding evening Monday, April 17th 2024 at 5:00 pm. - 7:00 pm. Dale will be laid to rest at Slagle Cemetery following the services.
