Dale Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dale Lee Williams, son of Lester and Hersie Hicks Williams, was born April 17, 1944, near Grovespring, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, February 28, 2016, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, ten months, and eleven days.
On September 27, 1962, he was united in marriage to Norma Ruth Miller, and to this union four sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Opal Williams; his wife, Norma, on November 30, 1995; and three brothers, Dale and Don Nelson, and Tommy Marcum.
Dale is survived by four sons, Eddie Williams, Kerry Williams, and his wife, Charity, Terry Williams, and David Williams, and his wife, Teresa, all of Lebanon, Missouri; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Danny Williams, of Platte City, Missouri, Darren, Doug, and Dencil Williams, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Rev. Ronnie Williams, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters, Diane Williams and Donetta Bowling, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Debbie Hollandworth, of Linn Creek, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Grovespring community, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He was the manager of the Lebanon Coca-Cola Bottling Company for several years, and also owned and operated a cattle farm for most of his life. He enjoyed living on the farm and working with the animals. He eventually retired to Lebanon.
Dale enjoyed watching television ministries and loved following his son, Eddie’s, ministry of music.
He had a fondness for exotic animals, horse and buggies, and classic cars. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dale was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his seventy-one years.
