I remember Tiny from the fall coin show in Springfield MO. He would have some of the best stories and take out his phone to show pictures of other people's works and brag on them. A humble man that encouraged and cared. Much appreciated. Good memories.
Tiny was a joy to see every summer in Colorado Springs. He was an inspiration to so many of the YNs some who are now adult collectors and/or professional in our great numismatic community. I feel blessed to have known him.

This would have been my 10th year teaching advanced grading at the ANA summer seminar and "Tiny" was a fixture during my time there and he will be surely missed by all who knew him.
Daniel “Tiny” Cross will live on in the memories of those who met him at the American Numismatic Association’s Summer Seminar. Tiny was a tireless volunteer and a friend to so many. His dedication and service to the Association and to the hobby of numismatics earned him notable honors such as the Adult Advisor of the Year (2006) and the Glenn Smedley Memorial Award (2017) for volunteer service.
We carry Tiny in our hearts, and with each gathering for Summer Seminar, his legacy will endure.
