Daniel Francka (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Daniel Alan Francka, age 56, Bolivar, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Cox South
Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, from complications of cancer.
Dan was born on September 20,1960, to Bernard and Barbara (Horton) Francka, of
Bolivar, the second of four children. He attended Bolivar schools, graduating in 1978.
While in high school, he played football and baseball and was a member of FFA.
Milking cows and other farm chores were some of his earliest jobs. He also did
carpentry, masonry and operated machinery on the family farm.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Bolivar, and former member of
the Bolivar Elks Club, and firefighter for the Morrisville Volunteer Fire Department.
Daniel was a friendly and kind-hearted soul. He cared very much for his friends and
had a way of making strangers into friends easily.
Surviving are his parents, three children: Matthew and Erin Francka, Bolivar; Danielle
and Cole Emmons, Sparta; Ally and Josh Murray, Bolivar; two grandchildren, Jacey and
Knox Francka, and expecting grandbaby Murray; special friends, Chad, Becky and Kate
Toombs, Wheatland. Siblings are Bernard, Jr. and Cindy Francka, Bolivar; Raymond
and Jane Francka, Bolivar; Amy and Brian Perkins, Ozark. Nephews and nieces are
B.L. and Keli Francka, Bolivar; Mallory and Jesse Ramsey, Gardner, Kansas; Sam and
Faith Francka, Bolivar; Larry Covert, Halfway; Ben and Amy Hodges, Preston; Emily
and Zacheri Wheel barger, Bolivar; Brady Perkins and Reese Perkins of Ozark, eleven
great-nephews and nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 13,5-7 pm; funeral services on Friday, October 14,
10 am, Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, Missouri, with Father Pat Wissman officiating.
Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Karlin. Pallbearers were: Bob Carr, Charlie
Choate, Bill Francka, Rick Hamlet, Matthew Quennoz, Harold Slemp, and Roger
Stander. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery fund.
