Daniel L. Hooper (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Daniel Lee Hooper was born April 10, 1950 in Preston, Missouri, and departed this life Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in his home in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, four months, and thirty days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold D. and Mary Lou Vittetoe Hooper.
Daniel is survived by three sons, Bryan Hooper, Stephen Hooper, and Matt Hooper, all of Lansing, Michigan; two step-sons, Philip Swartzlander and Jason Dinwiddie, both of Lebanon, Missouri; one step-daughter, Stacye Rogers of Lebanon; his significant other, Nancie J. Swartzlander, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, David Hooper, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Garland Hooper, of the State of Florida; a sister, Dawn, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Missouri and graduated from high school. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Army for few years. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he made his home in Michigan where he worked as a painter for a number of years. He then worked as a heavy equipment salesman in South Carolina for several years before moving to Missouri where he was employed by Emerson Climate Control for a few years.
In his spare time he enjoyed making beer and was very proud of the quality of his beer and took pride in his brewing abilities. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He possessed a good sense of humor and liked to laugh.
Daniel was a loving father, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
