Return to top Mincks, Jeanne Sue, 55 eanne Sue Mincks, daughter of William Seth and Lucille Irene (Welch) Hurst, was born June 3, 1952 near Seymour, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, April 11, 2008 in St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of fifty-five years, ten months, and eight days. On January 23, 1969 Jeanne was united in marriage to Billy Dean Mincks and to this union a son and two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Tonia Mincks; and a son, William Dean Mincks. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, Billy Dean, of the home; a daughter, Sonia Bradley and her husband Lloyd, of Fordland, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan, Zoey, and Dakota; her mother, Lucille Hurst, of Seymour, Missouri; three sisters, Marcella Todd, and her husband, James, of Seymour, Missouri, Lana Hulsey, and her husband, Tony, and Joyce Cornelison, and her husband, Robert, all of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was a lifelong resident of the Seymour area where she worked as a seamstress at the H.D. Lee Company for several years before its closing. She then attended Ozark Technical College in Springfield, Missouri for three years, and worked as a teller at the Bank of Fordland in Fordland until her health began to fail. Jeanne had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in her youth and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life. Besides working outside the home, she was a devoted homemaker to her family. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, and going to garage sales with her mother and sisters. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Burial will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
