Daniel M. O'Bryan (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Daniel Michael “Danny” O’Bryan, age 61, of Aldrich, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his home in Aldrich, Missouri after a past bout with pneumonia and pulmonary heart failure.
He was born July 2, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri to William Jennings O’Bryan and Wilda Carlene (Carns) O’Bryan.
Danny was raised by his grandparents, Cletis and Vaughn Carns in Aldrich, Missouri and went to school and graduated from Fair Play High School in 1967. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1967 to 1973. He returned to his home in Aldrich with service related disabilities.
Family and friends knew him as an honest, kind hearted, unselfish person who’s love and generosity was unending. He was a member of the United Methodist church in Aldrich, Missouri, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
Danny is survived by his sister, Sherry Jones and her husband Charles of Yates City, Illinois, one half-brother, Gary Copeland of Yreka, California, two half- sisters, Jamie Copeland of Fresno, California, Leslie Munt and her husband John of Fresno, California, his step-father, Harold Sherman of Bolivar, Missouri, two aunts and uncles, Peggy Baker and her husband Norman of Collins, Missouri, and Carolyn Kaplan and her husband Bill of Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Chaplain James O. Friend officiating. Musical selections will be “Wind Beneath My Wings”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Burial will follow at Bona Cemetery in Bona, Missouri with military honors provided by the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri. No visitation will be held. Pallbearers will be Charles Jones, Harold Sherman, Bill Kaplan, Norman Baker, Mike Jones and Aaron Bean
