Daniel R. Pogue (Seymour)'s Obituary
Daniel Ray (Duke) Pogue, age 62, of Seymour, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2015, with his loving family at his side. One of eight children, Daniel was born May 19, 1952, in Christian County, Missouri, to Carl and Maxine Pogue.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Deborah Pogue of the home; three children, William Christopher Hutchins of Springfield, Missouri; Mindy Masters and husband, Aaron, of Rogersville, Missouri; James Pogue and wife, Leah, of Seymour; and adopted daughter, Megan Smyth and husband, Jason, of Diggins, Missouri; five grandchildren, Allie Pogue, Railey Stillings, Haily Turner, Austin Pogue and Tucker Smyth; five sisters, Betty Griffin, Janice Lawson, Connie Davis, Carol Hyde and Brenda Suter; sister-in-law, Debra K. Pogue; and a host of loving family members and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ronnie A. Pogue and Greg Pogue; and infant grandchild, Journey Masters.
Duke loved spending time on the farm, working in his shop and quality time with his grandchildren and family. He loved to fish and hunt and he had a passion for classic cars and racing.
Daniel Ray Pogue was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal brother and friend. He was a dedicated family man who knew how to enjoy the simple things in life and took the time to do it. We take this time on this day to honor the life of a respected and well-liked man and the legacy he leaves behind for family and friends. He will be so sadly missed by all who were blessed enough to know and love him.
