Dannie J. Klemin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dannie Joe Klemin, son of Joseph and Opal Nutter Klemin, was born June 12, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, January 26, 2020, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years, seven months, and fourteen days.
On June 12, 1982, he was united in marriage to Taffy Lee Ball, and to this union three daughters were born.
His mother preceded him in death.
Dannie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Taffy, of the home; three daughters, Sarah Shumate, and her husband, Chris, Danielle Grafsky, and Amy Klemin, all of Lebanon, Missouri; eight grandchildren, William Klemin, Ivan Grafsky, Lana Grafsky, Dillon Shumate, Danielle Shumate, Denise Shumate, Dominic Shumate, and Aaron Shumate; his father, Joe Klemin, of Lebanon, Missouri; several cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Rolla, Missouri, and graduated from Rolla High School. He entered the military at the age of seventeen, and first served in the United States Marine Corps. He then served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, France, South Korea, Iraq, and various places in the states. He finished his thirty-seven years of service in the United States Army National Guard, retiring in 2018. He was a federal technician and worked on helicopters.
Through the years, he had attended several churches.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, hunting, camping, and horseback riding. He bore his illness with great strength and dignity. He built his life around his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Dannie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, cousin, and was a good friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
