Danny "Whitey" Coffey (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Danny D. “Whitey” Coffey, son of Swencil Douglas and Martha Jane Sloan Coffey, was born May 30, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, November 10, 2018, in his home, near Conway, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, five months, and ten days.
On March 9, 1974, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Moore, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David Lee Coffey; and his mother-in-law, Lois Moore.
Danny is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Geraldine, of the home; a daughter, Mandy Fries, and her husband, Eric, of Fordland, Missouri; a son, Danny Coffey, and his fiancée, Kathy, of Conway, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ellie, Danica, Katlyn, Bryce, and Briley; as well as his Jackson family and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After he and Geraldine were married, they made their home near Conway, Missouri, and lovingly raised their family. Danny worked for Alvin Jackson Used Cars as a driver and body repairman for a number of years.
Danny had made his profession of faith in Christ and was ready to meet his Maker.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were camping, fishing, and horseback riding. He liked going to casinos and playing cards with his family. He also liked going to garage sales and collecting junk items. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren. He was very people oriented and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
A Memorial has been established for the Pregnancy Support Center and may be left at the funeral home.
