Danny Lynn Thomas (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Danny Lynn Thomas, son of James L. and Della Maxine Jones Thomas, was born July 30, 1963, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-three years, one month, and eleven days.
On June 2, 1984, he was united in marriage to Karen Joyce Wilson, who passed away on June 14, 2012.
On December 7, 2012, he married Laura Marie Keener, and they shared the last three years.
He was also preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Glenda.
Danny is survived by his wife, Laura, of the home; his mother, Della Maxine Jones Caudle, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Bob Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Janis Foote, of Lebanon, Missouri; one niece, Jennifer Kelley; two nephews, Dylan Foote and Austin Thomas; five step-sons, Brandon Guess, Brian Guess, Chris Guess, Terry Guess, and Jerry Guess, all of Crane, Missouri; two step-daughters, Brandi Sawyer, and Christy Campbell, both of Crane, Missouri; a number of step-grandchildren, including two special ones, Eli and Holly; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Lebanon, Missouri, raised in Oklahoma, and graduated from Sapulpa High School. He then returned to Lebanon, Missouri, where he worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He and Laura had made their home in Crane, Missouri for the last three years.
Danny had professed his faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Sunnyview Baptist Church.
He enjoyed going to truck pulls and was very fond of Ford trucks. He was a very friendly man that never met a stranger. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help others.
Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
