Darlene Jean Gloria (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Darlene Jean Gloria, daughter of Henry and Marie Richardson, was born October 6, 1945, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, June 28, 2019, in SSM Health St. Joseph’s Hospital, in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, eight months, and twenty-two days.
In 1980, she was united in marriage to Octavio Gloria, who passed away in 1981.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Rainwater; a daughter, Tracy Wahwassuck; an infant brother; and three sisters, Carol Richardson, Vida Terry, and Cathy Mathena.
Darlene is survived by a son, Jim Ramos, and his wife, Phyllis, of St. Charles, Missouri; five grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Cassidy, Ishara, and Thomas; twelve great-grandchildren; her former husband, Jaime Ramos, of Portage, Indiana; three sisters, Irene Isles, Dolly Crunk, and Phyllis White, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Conway area, and then made her home in Kansas City for a time. She lived in Puerto Rico and Gary, Indiana before making her home in Lebanon, Missouri for a number of years. Throughout her life, she was a devoted homemaker to her family and loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Later, she made her home in St. Charles, Missouri, to be near her son.
Darlene had professed her belief in Christ and was a devoted Christian.
She was a diehard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, and liked watching television and playing cards. She also enjoyed doing a little gambling at area casinos. Her family was very important to her and she particularly enjoyed spending time with her sisters.
Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
