Darlene Kay Hilton (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Darlene Kay Hilton, age 80, of Buffalo, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on September 25, 2025. Born on January 8, 1945, in Moline, Illinois, Darlene was the daughter of Loretta Howerton (Sons/Tucker) and William Paul Sons. She grew up with strong family values, graduating from Buffalo High School in 1963. Darlene was married to Phillip Keith, the father of her two children, then later remarried the love of her life, the late Bob Hilton, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. She devoted her life to being a homemaker, an artist, and a nurturer. Whether through her warm meals, her creative spirit, or her steady encouragement, she touched the hearts of everyone around her. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Loretta and William , the father of her children Phillip Keith, The love of her life Bob Hilton, her sister in-laws Mary Sons, Ramidean Keith, and her son in laws Mustafa Elkordy and Anthony (Tony) Cross. She is survived by her brother, Darrell Sons; Brother inlaw Frank Keith, daughters, Gaylynne Elkordy (Keith) and Cheryl Kay Cross (Keith); grandchildren, Kyle (Valerie) Keith, Shawn Stevens, Ashley (Rick) Witt (Pipkin), Cody Pipkin, Hanna Elkordy, and Adam Elkordy; and great-grandchildren, Kiarra Keith, Emmalee Quihuis, Alek Keith, Kynslie Cross, Zoey Keith, Zakary Keith (The BeaverCat), and Brian Anthony Witt. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly. Darlene will always be remembered for her artistic talents in drawing and painting, her passion for cooking and collecting recipes, and most of all, her love for her family. She was a woman of faith, a hard worker, and someone who gave her best to those she loved. Her memory will live on in the stories told around the kitchen table, in the recipes passed down through generations, and in the countless lives she blessed with her kindness. Services are scheduled for 2 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri with visitation the hour prior beginning at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri
