Darline Lucille Musgrave (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Darline Lucille Musgrave was born August 6, 1933 in Banning, California, to her parents, Mildred Summerhill Harris and Ernest Fred Harris. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 2, 2026 in Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri. Darline passed away at the age of ninety-two years, ten months and twenty-seven days.
Darline grew up in the Baldwin Park and Bakersfield areas of California. She graduated high school while in California and then moved to Missouri in 1975 with her husband, Ed, and their children, to be near friends who had moved here. She obtained her real estate license and was a realtor for a time.
On July 23, 1966, she married Edward L. Musgrave in Reno, Nevada. Together they shared the next fifty-three years of marriage, building a life filled with family, hard work, laughter and love.
Darline is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward on January 29, 2020; and three sons, Randy Vance, James Vance and Larry Vance; h er sister, Evelyn Summerhill and a special sister, Pat Brawley.
She is survived by her sons, Brad Vance and his wife Sharon, Brent Vance, David Vance and his wife, Randa, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Edward Musgrave, Jr., and his wife, Christie, of Reno, Nevada, Dr. Phillip Mitchell and his wife Sheila of Lebanon, Missouri, Jamie Musgrave and Mark Musgrave, both of Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; her sister, Jenine Kerr, of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives, friends and her church family.
Darline loved being a homemaker and loved her church, First Assembly of God in Lebanon. She would arrive at church early and found joy in handing out toys and other favors to children at church. She shared Jesus with everyone and would tell how Jesus had saved her from her sins and given her eternal life in heaven.
Her life rotated around her family and her church. She loved being with family and friend and inviting folks to Taco Tuesday at Taco Bell was one of her favorite activities. Darline loved having fun and enjoyed being with her family and church family.
Darline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend, whose kindness and encouraging, supportive nature was rooted firmly in her Christian faith. Her trust in Christ and love for Jesus grew throughout her life and was the distinguishing characteristic recognized by all who knew her.
Words cannot adequately express the impact she has had on the lives of her family and so many others. Her fingerprints are on us. We can only hope to live up to what she saw in us.
Funeral services for Darline Musgrave will be Tuesday, July 7 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, from 1 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park.
A memorial to the Free Store Ministry has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
