Darrel David Alford (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Darrel David Alford, son of Jarvis and Sarah (Lane) Alford, was born in Avery, Texas on January 11, 1948, and departed this life on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. He was at the time of his passing 75 years, two months, and eight days of age.
Darrel was born in Texas but his family moved around at a young age. They would eventually end up living in Oklahoma. He started working a young age and was an incredibly hard worker. He held jobs as a carpenter, mechanic, and truck driver. He also worked a filling stations and oil fields. Darrel moved to Missouri in the early 2000’s and would later be married to his wife Barbara on September 2, 2011. He would then retire in 2012 to work some more on their property in Long Lane, Missouri.
Darrel thoroughly enjoyed his work, but he also loved visiting flea markets and yard sales where he would buy and sell all sorts of items. He was also a fisherman and would enjoy his time by the water.
Darrel was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Darrel David Alford, Jr. and Christopher Alford; and one brother, Wally Alford. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Alford; one daughter, Lisa Alford of Oklahoma; one step-son, John Strickland & wife Melissa; two brothers, Travis and James; three sisters, Pat, Carol, and Betty Sue; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
Cremation rites are being accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri.
