Darrell Dee Mallory (Seymour)'s Obituary
Darrell Dee Mallory, age 72, a life-long resident of Seymour, Missouri passed away Saturday April 29, 2017 in his home. He was born November 14, 1944 in Webster County, Missouri one of two children born to Lillard Logan “Jack” Mallory and Mildred (Calhoun) Mallory. Darrell was a member of the graduating Class of 1962 of Seymour High School. He married Helen Marie Ashley on November 6, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma. Darrell and Helen had been attending the Church of Christ in Seymour, Missouri.
Darrell retired on February 1, 2007 after 45 years of employment with the City of Seymour as the Electrical Superintendent. After that date, he got to enjoy hunting and fishing and campfires more. Anything where he was outdoors gave him happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Dooley & Zadie Ashley; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Elmer Gene Ashley and Betty Ashley as well as brother-in-law Thomas Mackey.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen, of the home; a brother & sister-in-law Gerald & Joan Mallory of Seymour, MO; 2 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Doris Mackey of Seymour, MO and Sharon & Charley Young of Marshfield, MO as well as his extended family and special friends.
