Darrell Young (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Darrell Lee Young, son of Wayne Franklin and Zenia Mae Turley Young, was born July 27, 1950 near Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on May 5, 2014 in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years, nine months and eight days.
He was united in marriage to Sandra Nelson on December 23, 1969 and to this union four children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Nicholas Brumley, two brothers, Dwight Young and Bradley Johnson, two sisters, Carol Henry and Willa Mae Barnum.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Sandra of the home; one daughter, Tammy Brumley and her husband, Roger of Mansfield, Missouri; three sons, Darrell Young of Mansfield, Missouri, Danny Young and his wife, Natasha of Macomb, Missouri and David Young of Mansfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Nathan, Destiny, Kourtney and Kloe; three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Carlos Young.
Darrell was born, raised and lived all of his life in Mansfield. He worked for 32 years for the City of Mansfield, retiring in 2010.
He was of the Assembly of God faith.
In his spare time he loved working on old classic cars, playing the guitar and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.
Darrell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the many wonderful times we had with him.
