David Appleberry (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Douglas Appleberry, son of Lloyd Dean and Phyllis Anne Gilbert Appleberry, was born December 8, 1964, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, two months, and six days.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, James Lee Appleberry; and a sister, Louise Gelina.
David is survived by a son, David Appleberry, Jr., of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Harlie C. Appleberry, of Mount Vernon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Addison; his mother, Phyllis Appleberry, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; two brothers, Steven Appleberry and Jay Appleberry, both of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Laclede County, Missouri, and lived most of his life the Lebanon area. He had worked in the scrap metal business for a number of years, and was always interested in entrepreneurial endeavors.
David felt at home in Community Baptist Church, and was always willing to help others.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were camping, fishing, and going to the river. He found great joy in getting up early to catch the night crawlers before the chickens were up and could get them. He used these for bait when he would go fishing.
David was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
