David Bilyeu (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Lee Bilyeu, son of Jerry L. and Carolyn Joann Rector Bilyeu, was born August 30, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Phelps County Regional Medical Center, in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years, nine months, and twenty-three days.
He was preceded in death by his mother; two sisters, Lisa Bilyeu Oliver, and Pamela Bilyeu; and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Ora Rector.
David is survived by a sister, Amanda Weddle, of Sparta, Missouri; a niece, Crystal Lake, of Kansas City, Missouri; two nephews, Dakota Bilyeu, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Stephan Oliver, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; his father, Jerry Bilyeu, of Humansville, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Springfield, and was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, where he attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He was involved in a tragic automobile accident when he was twenty years old that left him disabled for the rest of his life. He had made his home in Marshall, Missouri, for a number of years, and then moved to the Gingerbread House in Rolla, where he greatly enjoyed the fellowship they offered.
He liked listening to rock and roll and country music, and enjoyed being outdoors. He had enjoyed fishing and always liked family visits.
David was a loving brother, uncle, son, nephew, and was a caring friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
