David Bradshaw's Obituary
David Lawe Bradshaw, son of Thomas Melvin and Maude May Bench Bradshaw, was born March 29, 1919, near Eldridge, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, May 28, 2006, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, one month, and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Jewel Maling, Goldie Kinnett, Sylvia Bradshaw, and Lorene Harriman. David is survived by a sister, Beatrice Frayser, of Vinita, Oklahoma; two nieces, Rebecca Jim, and Mary Ellen Swank; three nephews, Clark and Tim Frayser, and Jack D. Kinnett; ten great-nieces and great-nephews, Robert, Colin, Mary Catherine, Nick, Zach, Will, Dana, Aaron, Jenny, and Julie; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Corkery community and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1937. He worked at a defense plant in Kansas City for a few years, and then returned to the Ozarks. He also worked as a cosmetologist in Springfield and Lebanon for several years. Throughout most of his life he took care of the family farm and was a farmer and stockman. David had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith. He possessed artistic talent and enjoyed doing paintings in his spare time. He liked to travel, square dance, do woodworking projects, and was a H.A.M. radio operator for many years. He had invented and patented several items he used around the farm to make a solo operation easier. David will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for all those who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorial contributions to the Lebanon Art Guild may be made through the funeral home.
