David J. Buck (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Jonathan Buck was born October 4, 1950 to Richard V. Buck and Dorothy Holman Buck in Lebanon, Missouri. He passed away in Baptist Hospital in Conway, Arkansas on Monday, December 25, 2023, at the age of seventy-three years, two months and twenty-one days.
He grew up in Lebanon and attended the First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Lebanon High School and following graduation, he joined his father in the electrical business. This prepared him to own his own electrical business. He then moved to Florida and earned his certification as a Master Electrician. In 2007, David moved to Conway, Arkansas where he was employed as a Master Electrician Specialist for Home Depot. He retired in 2023 after sixteen years with Home Depot. David thoroughly enjoyed his career as an electrician and was very proud of his craft.
On October 23, 1981, David was united in marriage to Patrice “Pat” Matthews and together they shared over forty-two years of wonderful memories and supported one another through the challenges of life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marsha Shockley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat, of Conway, Arkansas; his son, Courtney Buck and his wife Kayla of Santa Rosa, Florida; two daughters, Britany Smith and her husband Robert, Jr. of Mayflower, Arkansas and Alexis Buck of Conway, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Kay Ivey of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, Barbara LeMaster of Springfield, Missouri and Susan Rector of Littleton, Colorado; and two brothers, Richard Buck of Proctor, Missouri and Mike Buck of Lebanon, Missouri.
In his spare time, David enjoyed looking for treasures on the beach. He also had guns and would enjoy going taking them out for target practice. He also liked woodworking, welding, and gardening and would share his creations with family and friends. He was also a Rockhound and made jewelry and many other things from rocks. He loved his little dog, Spike.
Above all, David loved his family. They meant everything to him and he looked forward to being together with them as much as he possibly could. He leaves a legacy of hard work and loyalty. His loss is deeply felt by his family. We know he will live on in them, in their memories and in their love for each other.
A memorial to St. Jude’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association and been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
