David Freeman George Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Freeman George, Jr. was born in Sullivan, Missouri on June 4, 1964 to David F. George, Sr. and Helen Busse. He was called home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at his home in Phillipsburg, Missouri. He was fifty-nine years young.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents and his niece, Crystal.
He is survived by his oldest son, Matthew George (Brittney); his two daughters, Kourtney George Stines (Gary) and Kyleigh George, all of Elizabethton, Tennessee; his sons, Dakota George, Levi George and Jacob George, all of Lebanon, Missouri; his parents, Helen Mullis and her husband, Fred of Beaufort, Missouri; his father, David F. George, Sr. and his wife, Maryanne of Bourbon, Missouri; his brother, Steve George (Lura) of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Lisa George of Beaufort, Missouri; five grandchildren, Paisley, Kynslee, Kennedy, Kamdyn and Bella; the mother of his three youngest children, Tanya Peterson of Lebanon, Missouri and son, Harley Peterson whom he raised as his own, of Lebanon, Missouri; the mother of his three oldest children, Beckie Nidiffer; several nieces and nephews along with his great-nieces and nephews; and a special life-long friend, Mike Ware.
David was raised in the Sullivan, Missouri area, later moving to Arizona, then to Tennessee, before finally settling back home in Missouri.
David chose a career in carpentry and was renowned for his precision and quality work. He always strived for excellence in everything that he did and believes that a man was only as good as his work and his word.
In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and anything involving the outdoors. He was always making people laugh and always told the funniest stories. He was an avid gardener and was always willing to share his knowledge.
Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren. They were the light of his life and he looked forward to the times that he could spend with them. His grandchildren adored him and were always keeping him on his toes.
We know his family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories he made with them, during his lifetime.
