David Harrington (Buffalo)'s Obituary
David H. Harrington, age 81, of Urbana, Missouri entered into rest on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024.
David was born March 27th, 1943, in Portland Oregon to the late Harry and Lucille (McLachlan) Harrington. Having spent most of his life in the Pacific NW, he graduated from South Eugene High School and immediately joined the US Army where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam war. He was an extremely talented carpenter and had a very long career in commercial building he was an excellent teacher of the trade who took great pride in his work. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and could not wait to rejoin his eternal companion Lynne Marie Powel-Harrington, who preceded him in death in August of 2020.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Smith and spouse, Chuck Smith, Tanna Monson, and spouse Eric Monson. David is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, whom he adored. He took great pride in making them laugh with his quirky sense of humor and especially had a soft spot for the babies but loved seeing all of their smiles and receiving their hugs and kisses.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, at Memorial Gardens of Memory in Buffalo Missouri. Officiating will be President Renn Farnsworth. Pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Eric Monson, Ryker Monson, Chaz Smith, Trevor Corley, Dakota Casteel and Brylin Green.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo Missouri.
