David Levi Kimberlin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Levi Kimberlin, son of Harvey L. and Violet VanHyning Kimberlin, was born July 16, 1959, in Clinton, Oklahoma. He departed this life Monday, April 22, 2019, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, nine months, and six days.
On November 7, 1992, he was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Uadiski, and they shared the last twenty-seven years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby brother, Jack Kimberlin; and a sister, Sarah Bullock.
David is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, of the home; two sons, Daniel Dearborn, and his wife, Misty, and Frederick Dearborn, and his fiancée, Brittnie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shelby, Lauren, Haleigh, Ajsia, Hayden, and Camden; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Kimberlin, and his wife, Porsche, of Enid, Oklahoma, and Randy Kimberlin, of Foss, Oklahoma; four sisters, Judy Hayes, and her husband, Bill, of Foss, Oklahoma, Lois Wagnor, of the State of Illinois, Fay Ater, and her husband, William, of Butler, Oklahoma, and Robin Sharp, and her husband, James, of Clinton, Oklahoma; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Clinton, Oklahoma. He entered the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He then went to college in Lansing, Michigan and finished his Associates Degree at Lincoln University at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He met Shirley in 1986, and after they were married in 1992, they made their home as caretakers of an 800 acre cattle farm and worked together in that operation. He also was a welder and did welding work through the years.
David was an active member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon, where he served in various activities. He drove the church bus and also cooked breakfast once a month for the men in the church.
He played the guitar, liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed whittling. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and would stop what he was doing to come to the aid of someone. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Services will be held at Second Baptist Church in Lebanon on Saturday, May 4, at 2 p.m.
