David M.'s Obituary
David M. Box, son of Cleason and Goldie Blevins Box was born July 6, 1941 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life suddenly on April 17, 2011 on his parents farm near Hartville, Missouri at the age of sixty-nine years, nine months and eleven days.
On December 6, 1961 he was united in marriage to Louise Duggan and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his wife, Louise of the home; a son, Allen Box and his wife Julie of Diggins, Missouri; a daughter, Angela Box of Hartville, Missouri; a brother, Paul Box and his wife Linda of Otterville, Missouri and a sister Farrell Ivy of Ozark, Missouri; as well as several cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Mansfield where he graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1959. He lived his entire life in the Mansfield and Hartville areas. He worked at Mac-a-Mo, Marshfield and York Casket Companies in Marshfield for over 30 years.
In his spare time he was a bee keeper, enjoyed quail and coyote hunting and trap shooting with his dad, Cleason.
David was a loving husband, father and brother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish our memories of him as long as we live.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield, Missouri.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, north of Mansfield.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home at PO Box 199, Mansfield, Missouri 65704.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield.
