David Joseph Malen, son of Andrew Molinovsky and Hazel Kerkas Molinovsky, was born December 3, 1939, in Lorain, Ohio. The family name was later changed to Malen.
David graduated high school in Lorain, entered the United States Navy and was placed as a shipboard photographer.

David, and his first wife, Anita, had three children, who later became estranged from him.
In 1968, David suffered a brain aneurism and became permanently disabled.

David’s interests were in painting, gardening, square dancing, and his dulcimer band.
He gave his heart to the Lord in June of 2012, and was very proud to have become a member of the Lebanon Seventh Day Adventist Church.
On August 20, 2012, David passed away at the age of seventy-two years, nine months, and seventeen days.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
