David A. Matthews, Sr. (Buffalo)'s Obituary
David Alan Matthews age 58 of Buffalo, Missouri was born on November 23, 1962 to Charles LeRoy and Barbara Elaine Matthews in Sterling, Illinois.
He grew up and met the love of his life, Tammie Sue Drain. They got married on June 28, 1980 on a very hot day. They have three beautiful children together, one girl and two boys, Julie Ann Harmon, David Alan Matthews II, and Charles Alan Matthews. Julie married James Harmon and Charles married Amber Matthews. David II never married, but gave David his granddaughter, Katy Sue. Although David had three biological children there were many others that came and called him “dad” and “Uncle Dave”. David was a “jack of all trades” he had very many things he was good at. David was preceded in death by his father Charles LeRoy Matthews. David left this world and his loving family on October 20, 2020. He will be with his father and our Heavenly Father. David will be greatly and deeply missed by all of those he will leave behind.
David is survived by his mother, Barbara Elaine Matthews of Long Lane, Missouri; his wife, Tammie Sue Matthews of Buffalo, Missouri; two sons, David Alan Matthews II, and Charles Alan Matthews and wife Amber of Buffalo, Missouri; one daughter, Julie Ann Harmon and husband James of Adrian, Missouri; four brothers Chuck Matthews and wife Maggie of Dixon, Missouri, Bryan Matthews and wife Nancy of Buffalo, Missouri, John Matthews and wife Tiffany of Long Lane, Missouri, and Thomas Matthews and wife Kimberly of Minnesota; one sister, Tina Wilson and husband Rex of Long Lane, Missouri; and one grandchild, Katy Sue.
Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri
Cremation rites will be accorded by Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
