David P. Zimmerman (Seymour)'s Obituary
David Paul Zimmerman, son of Kenneth Arthur and the late Mary Christine (Kreider) Zimmerman, was born August 15, 1969, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on December 16, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of forty-six years, four months and one day.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Zimmerman; paternal grandparents, George and Irene Zimmerman; maternal grandparents, David and Mary Kreider; aunt, Corrine Darling; and uncle, Robert Earl Zimmerman. David is survived by his father, Kenneth Zimmerman of Seymour, Missouri; his brother, Robert Zimmerman and his children, Sarah and Brody, of Seymour; eight uncles, Donald and Rosie Kreider, of Indiana; Jack and Annette Zimmerman, of Coweta, Oklahoma; Frank and Debbie Zimmerman, of Marshfield, Missouri; David and Betty Zimmerman, Glen Zimmerman, Terry and Rene Zimmerman, Freddie Zimmerman, and Tom Zimmerman, all of Seymour; three aunts, Bonnie and Gary Townlian, and Rita and Bob Graven of Seymour, and Dorothy and Leroy Wolfe, of Diggins, Missouri; too many cousins to name, as well as a host of other relatives, many dear friends and co-workers. David was born in Springfield but lived his entire life in Seymour. He graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1987. He was a carpenter and worked for bigdaveswoodworks for several years. He was a member of Mansfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. David loved to fish. He also liked to travel, but his greatest joy was working with his hands on projects that involved working with wood. He was highly recommended by Heartwood Log & Lumber Sales in Ozark, Missouri, and got many referrals from them. Some of his projects included a bar top in Colton’s Restaurant. He also built tables for Buckinghams and others. David traveled to Wisconsin, Arkansas, Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Alabama, and many other places in his work. Being 6’9”, when someone would ask him if he needed a ladder to do something on a ceiling, he just laughed. David was a loving son, uncle, nephew and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the wonderful times we had together.
