David E. Pankey (Buffalo)'s Obituary
David Pankey 48 was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Robert and Winnie Pankey. He died at Barnes-Jewish hospital in St. Luis MO on May 5, 2018 at 4:40PM with his mom, brother, son, and three cousins by his side.
David was preceded in death by his dad Robert, Grandma and Grandpa Pankey (Elsie and Carl), Grandma and Grandpa Doty (Thelma and Harold), Uncles Larry Doty, Kenny Doty, Raymond Middleton, Dee Hedgepath, Hollis Atterberry, Aunts Diane Doty, Evenly Atterberry, Cousins Andy Atterberry and Dylan Hedgepath.
He is survived by his mom Winnie Pankey, brother Curtis Pankey; three children, one son David Pankey Jr., and two daughters Elizabeth Kuehne husband Daryl, and Hannah Pankey; four grandchildren Mikayla, Shyla, Blake, and Lucas Kuehne; uncles Bill Pankey, Lanny Doty, Jerry Doty; aunts Barbara Hedgepath, Irene Brown husband Jerry, and Judy Middleton. And other family members and friends.
David was a Master Mason of Fellowship Lodge #345 and Scottish Rite member in Joplin MO, and a member of Buffalo chapter #446 of the OES. He grew up in Bolivar MO. Following his schooling he moved to Saint James MO where he practiced Radiology and nuclear medicine before finally settling in Cuba MO and worked as an associate at the local Walmart home and garden division. He was saved and baptized at Berean Baptist Church of Bolivar. His hobbies were riding horses, building RC cars, riding bicycles and driving his Dodge Ram truck and motorcycle.
David always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to help others. He especially enjoyed seeing and spending time playing with his grandchildren whenever he could. David was respected and loved by his associates of Walmart in Cuba and all that knew him, he will be missed by all.
n lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital in St. Louis.
