David Rice (Bolivar)'s Obituary
David Lee Rice, 71 of Bolivar, MO passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
David was born on November 16, 1946, in Modesto, California, to Othal and Bertha (Boulware) Rice. He grew up in California, and then soon after graduating highsschool joined the United States Army in 1963. He served in the Army as an MP, and then after being honorably discharged continued in government service until his retirement in 1993.
After retiring David moved to Bolivar and became a general contractor. He loved to build homes, do remodels, and flip houses. He did this work until he was no longer able.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Othal Rice and Bertha Singleton; and a son in law, Scott Mobus.
Survivors include his brother, Douglas Rice and wife Phyllis, of Herrington, Kansas, along with their two children; one daughter, Chandra Mobus, of Bolivar; one granddaughter, McKenna Mobus, of Bolivar; and many other extended family members.
