David E. Sharp (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Eugene Sharp, son of Marvin and Sylvia Maxine Hooper Sharp, was born June 27, 1959, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty years, one month, and three days.
On December 15, 1979, he was united in marriage to Jayne Andrea Pape, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Diana Sharp.
David is survived by his wife, Jayne, of the home; two daughters, Autumn Wallace, and her husband, Matt, of Ozark, Missouri, and Kati Sharp, of the home; a son, Jonathan Sharp, and his wife, Christina, of Ozark, Missouri; three grandchildren, Isaac, Karli, and Holden; his mother, Sylvia Sharp, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Homer Carl Sharp, and Daniel Joseph Sharp, and his wife, Jaquetta, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in a military family and lived in various places around the country. The family eventually settled in Lebanon, Missouri when David was thirteen, and he graduated from Lebanon High School. After he and Jayne were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. David worked as a drafting engineer for Tracker Marine for over twenty years, and then worked for Marine Electric for over fifteen years. He only quit working when his health failed him.
David had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He had enjoyed fishing when he was young, and was good at building and fixing things. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help others. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
A Celebration of Life Service for David Sharp will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, in the Community Room at the Lebanon Senior Apartments at 907 Tower Road in Lebanon.
