David Shevchuk's Obituary
David Walter Shevchuk, son of Walter Shevchuk and Lyndia Kent, was born January 5, 1986, in Mansfield, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, July 29, 2006 in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of twenty years, seven months and twenty-four days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alvin Kent; and his paternal grandparents, Andrei and Natalia Shevchuk. David is survived by his father, Walter Shevchuk, and his wife, Carol, of Mansfield, Missouri; his mother, Lyndia Kent, of Redding, California; a brother, Matt Shevchuk, and his wife, Sara, of Springfield, Missouri; a half-brother, Alex Baughn, of the State of Colorado; two step-brothers, Brent Heatherly, of Springfield, Missouri, and Kevin Heatherly, and his wife, Daniela, and their daughters, Brianna and Audri, all of Rogersville, Missouri; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Kent, of Redding, California; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Mansfield area, where he attended Mansfield High School, and graduated in the Class of 2004. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors in his spare time and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He also liked collecting knives. David was a loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
